Hair Takers was opened December 7, 2004. The owner is David Donaghe, who worked for the Post Office for 30 years, having most recently been the West Fork Post Office Postmaster for 8 years, until his retirement.
David went to barber school in 1969 after serving in the military, but who had their hair cut in the 70's in Arkansas when the hippy movement started. (a little behind California, where it started in the 1960's). So David joined the United States Postal Service.
After retiring from the Post Office, David went back to barber school, and the rest is ...........
Men and Boys are David's specialty, while the Beauty Salon is operated by Crystal Selvey Taylor, who graduated from West Fork High in 1998 and then going to Beauty School.
Crystal takes care of men, women, and children. She does Perms, Coloring, Eyebrow Waxing, Roller Sets, Hair Cutting and Styling, Manicures and Pedicures.
Hair Takers and the Beauty Salon are located just north of the Dollar General store.

The Barber Shop hours are from 7:30 AM until 5:00 PM Tuesday through Friday, and from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM (noon)Saturday.
Closed Sunday and Monday
The Beauty Salon's hours are Tuesdays through Fridays from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM
and on Saturday from 7:30 AM until 12:00 PM (noon)

My son-in-law John Russell and my grandson, Jared Russell, have both been customers of Hair Takers. David Donaghe does an excellent job of cutting hair. I am going to be next, with a hair cut from the salon.
